In December, 2022, several of our EYT members traveled to the 18th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates (WSNPL).
Packed with a variety of seminars, workshops, panels, and thematic forums under the theme of “Stronger Together,” the 18th WSNPL was held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
This year under the slogan of “Leading by Example,” it welcomed over 200 student attendees from 47 countries of different academic backgrounds, pushing for the inclusion of youth in the “making” of peace and involvement in the political sphere.

Launch of 'PeaceJam Campina' with two-day, youth-lead conference
In April 2023, one of the most exciting events was the 'PeaceJam Campina' team (a group made entirely of amazing high-school students in Campina!) put together their very first PeaceJam conference and it was an amazing success!
It was part of an on-going project that started back in 2020 when we were asked by EYT member and teacher Georgiana, based in Campina, to be zoomed into her classroom to make her lessons a bit more interesting for her students struggling to adapt to covid and online learning and it has now become a Youth-led PeaceJam group with another conference on the way for 2024!
You can read more about the conference in this local Campina news article;
Launch of 'PeaceJam Georgia' 2023
At the start of 2023, we started working alongside peace activist and granddaughter of Desmond Tutu, Joy Ngoma, who has a very special connection to the country of Georgia and Georgia's current President, Salome Zourabichvili.
Joy was asked by President Zourabichvili to lead a youth initiative for peace and Joy recommended launching a PeaceJam in Georgia!
PeaceJam has been invited to the President's international peace conference in July 2023 where we will also be holding a launch of 'PeaceJam Georgia' and working to inspire and engage young people from across Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan to work together.
